Orlandini Design

Paolo Orlandini was born in Grosseto in 1941; He graduated from the faculty of Architecture of the Politecnico di Milano. He has worked for about ten years with the study of Marco Zanuso Sr. And with Richard Sapper. From 1968 to 2010 he worked with Roberto Lucci in the office, chair and kitchen sectors. Over 3 million chairs carry the Lucci Orlandini Design signature. Together they have drawn more than 500 products. Their design approach is based on the use of scale models, real models and motion mockups; In general, on direct and concrete experimentation rather than on digital abstraction.
He has held and continues his didactic activities at the Istituto Europeo di Design, I.S.I.A. Of Rome, the Politecnico di Milano, the Polytechnic School of Design in Milan, the IUAV of Treviso. He has also been Visiting Professor at various universities in Brazil and Colombia.
